For my friends, students and acquaintances in France … and that does not mean only the “French” ones! – I reckon I’ll do most of this in English but there will certainly be some French in here, too. What I hope to do is provide some insights into the English language, the multi-cultural world we share and I’d also like to give you some virtual visits of … the place where I saw the light of day for the first time … Savannah. And Tybee.
For my fellow Americans – and especially those in Savannah, I’d like to introduce you to some of the marvellous people and places in the City of Light … as well as the rest of France. Maybe take you on a visit to the well-known gardens at Giverny or Versailles or to the innovative plantations at Chaumont s/Loire or those in and around Varengeville.
To everyone, I hope to encourage dialogue, friendship, tolerance between my two towns. Savannah and Paris: the places I cherish most of all!
PSS. Of course, your questions and comments are more than welcome. Enjoy your visit. Hope to see you – read you or hear you soon!
